Sandton Auctioneers, founded in 2001, is the principal firm of Fine Art Auctioneers based in Johannesburg, South Africa specializing in the appraisal and sale of art, antiques, investment carpets and fine and rare objects in all collecting categories including rare bronzes, silver, marble statuettes and investment jewelry.


The firm is family owned and operated by the founder Mehdi Khansefid who is a descendant of a long line of Persian Carpet Dealers in Persia and his son Ali Khansefid who has spent his entire 26 years being trained by his father and who today heads the company as the Managing Director. 

Ali is closely involved in the business and strives to provide personal service for consignors and bidders.
